Who is NCSI?

Who should I contact if I have questions about my criminal background screening?
Please feel free to reach out to us via email at support@ncsisafe.com or by phone at 866-996-7412. NCSI’s business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, and we typically respond within the same or next business day.
How long does it take NCSI to complete my background screening?
Screenings are typically completed within 3-5 business days; however, delays can occur, so we recommend planning ahead. If your screening requires an international search, please allow at least 2-3 weeks for completion. Keep an eye on your email, as NCSI may contact you for additional information necessary to complete your screening.
How do I submit a screening?
Please contact your organization for details on where to submit your background screening.
What can I do if I think my report is incorrect?
If records are reported, you will receive a secure email from support@ncsisafe.com with a copy of your background screening to review. If any reported records are inaccurate, please reach out to compliance@ncsisafe.com. If the reported records are accurate but you believe you should still be able to participate with your organization, you will need to reach out to your organization directly.
How do I obtain a status update or copy of my background screening report?
To request a status update or a copy of your report, please email support@ncsisafe.com.
My organization would like to receive services from NCSI, how do I get started?
To set up an account with NCSI, please contact us at support@ncsisafe.com with details about your organization and background screening requirements. Our team will work with you to identify the best package and finalize an agreement. Once signed, your account will be ready to use within a few business days.
Tips for submitting your background screening
- Use your full legal name when completing the registration—avoid nicknames.
- Double-check all information for accuracy before submitting to prevent errors.
- If possible, upload a picture of your ID with your background screening.
- Keep an eye out for emails from NCSI as we may require additional information to complete your screening.
